A woman from Connecticut Carla Nash, appeared as a guest on the "Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday. Carla was interviewed about her gruelling attack from a 200-pound chimpanzee named Travis in February. The Chimp literally tore off parts of her face and hands but remarkably she survived. This tragedy left her severely disfigured and she is currently recieving treatment at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
An a amazing, brave woman, Carla is a living inspiration, who through extreme adversity is able to find inner strength through sheer self belief. She says she’s ready to heal and move forward.
Charla Nash is suing Travis’s owner for $50 million. My heart goes out to her, and I hope she gets every penny.
